Hands down PF Diagnose is the best option. j1708 + j1939, graphing, It has most manufacture specific codes already translated. Did you check out the price? Nothing below even comes close.

Other options:

Modis w/heavy duty = j1708 only
OTC w/heavy duty = generic codes only, slower than slow
Pro-Link w/heavy duty standard = generic codes only unless you purchase separate cards for each manufacture.
x431= only unit aftermarket tool ive seen pull codes on medium duty gmc/isuzu but crap live data list.
Eaton MD200 = j1708 only but decent quick handheld tool.

I have 27+ years in the industry, ASE master car and truck, L1 & L2, a degree in Auto Tech, and other state certifications so I am not a newbee to all this.
I am pleased with the software, it connects when Autotap and genisys will not even find any modules and also show parameters that they won't even when they do connect.

The PF diagnostic tool has been a excellent addition to the scan tools that we have at CDS FLEET REPAIRS, we were going through a spell with the heavy duty side of the house that we either had to purchase a dealer scan tools or try updating our after market scan tool (heavy duty) or look for other alternatives. After a little research I found pf diagnostic, there i met Don. I would personnel recommend this tool to any shop that performs diagnostic work on heavy duty applications and the support you get from Don's team is fantastic, not only will you receive fantastic support but you be talking to individuals with experience in the diagnostic field. We are impressed with this application, it has been a valuable addition to our diagnostic PC. When you arrive at a customers site and they say Oh.. This unit has been giving me trouble too, can you have a look, it is nice to know that if I don't have the OEM software for that make, PF-Diagnose will work. I decided to purchase two more copies for my other two service trucks.

I work at a dealership and do all of the diagnostics for my shift, I use PF-Diagnose on Sterlings, Fords, and other vehicles that we do not sell because our shop only supplies the dealer diagnostic software. As a result, when a Detroit 60 series rolls in the door, I get the job because no one else can connect to the ECM. Thanks Pocketfleet!

My Factory Rep is looking at buying this software, John Deere will not even give them the software to read the engine codes. Have to have the dealer come out to read them. This is great product keep up the great work .

I use pocket fleet on forklift equipment all the time and i have to say its a great little program.

Primarily because its cheap but more importantly for me it's easy to use and covers a multitude of equipment, the after market back up from Don L is second to none too!!

Software was great for lot of different trucks.
It's great to have dealer software but a lot of guys here don't PF diagnostics is great if you can't get dealer software . Keep up the good work .

A friend of mine bought a subscription to this software. He uses it all the time says it works great with no flaws or problems.

Well, I just bought the software yesterday and I used it on a Mercedes Benz 906. It showed correctly the failure: The accelerator sensor was bad. So, this software seems to be a good acquisition =º). I want to try in another machines... hope soon!
